Maasdam - the fifth liner of Holland America Line with a 135-year history. Small in size, Maasdam is designed specifically to provide a higher level of service with fewer passengers on board, as well as greater spaciousness on the ship. Another feature is that most cabins have their own balcony.

The interior is decorated in the spirit of the Dutch colonies of the 17th-19th centuries in the East and West Indies. In the central part of this elegant liner, in the high three-deck atrium, stands the "Totem" by Luciano Vistosi - a monumental sculpture made from nearly 2,000 shimmering pieces of glass.

Other intriguing artworks displayed on Maasdam include two abstract paintings created specifically for the Rotterdam Dining Room and a collection of seven iron teapots from Japan, dating back to the end of the Edo period.
