Silver Discoverer

The third ship of the Silversea Cruises expedition fleet was built in 1989 and was purchased by Silversea Cruises in September 2013, then modernized for exotic cruise itineraries. The primary purpose of this cruise vessel is expedition cruising. These are more scientific journeys than entertainment-focused, which, however, does not affect the amenities and comfort: the ship features restaurants and a lecture hall, a gym and a beauty salon, a pool, and all cabins have panoramic views. The vessel is equipped with 12 lifeboats designed for landing passengers on shore in hard-to-reach places.

Silver Discoverer is a ship for discerning travelers. Each guest is offered the services of a highly qualified butler who ensures everything needed and helps resolve any issues. In all bars and cafes, you will be offered complimentary alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to suit every taste.

The itineraries of Silver Discoverer traverse the remote archipelagos of the Pacific Ocean, with the ship's shallow draft allowing it to sail as close to the coastline as possible. The cruising regions include Southeast Asia (Borneo, Sulawesi, Indonesia, the Philippines, and West Papua), Australia and New Zealand, Micronesia, Melanesia, and Polynesia, East Asia, and the Far East.

The ship's maneuverability, along with spacious decks and panoramic lounges, guarantees that you will never miss an interesting event or beautiful views. For exploring coral reefs, the ship has a glass-bottom boat equipped with snorkeling gear. Before disembarking for shore excursions, all guests will be provided with warm parkas, as well as a waterproof backpack and a bottle of water.

Cozy cabins have everything necessary for a comfortable voyage: bed linens and blankets of the highest quality from Pratesi, premium toiletries, a mini-bar, which your butler will carefully monitor, a television with satellite channels, and a vast selection of movies.
