Regatta

The ship was built in 1998 in the luxurious and elegant style of cruise ships from the 1920s and 1930s. Just recently, in the spring of 2014, the ship underwent a multi-million dollar renovation, including updates to the interiors and modernization of the vessel.

The interior of both the public areas and the cabins of Regatta is elegant and charming. The ship's decor features wooden panels, heavy drapery, and oriental carpets. All of this creates a maximum sense of comfort. The ship has 342 luxurious cabins and suites, nearly 70% of which are equipped with private verandas. Regatta is more like a country club than an ocean liner, where guests can expect top-notch five-star service, friendly staff, exquisite cuisine, and a relaxed atmosphere. Although the ship belongs to the "premium" segment, such a level is more characteristic of luxury cruises.

Regatta is a mid-sized ship. It is large enough to accommodate several restaurants and bars, as well as various entertainment areas, yet small enough to visit ports that are inaccessible to huge liners and to avoid crowds of vacationers on board: the ship has a capacity of only 684 passengers.

Dining on board is organized in four main restaurants with diverse menus. The elegant Grand Dining Room offers continental cuisine as well as various local dishes (depending on the cruise itinerary). The restaurant features an area with an ocean view. The Terrace Cafe offers Eastern and seafood cuisine, as well as Mexican and Italian dishes. In the evening, the restaurant transforms into a tapas buffet. In the small Italian restaurant Toscana with a sea view, guests can enjoy a wide selection of Tuscan dishes. Finally, in Polo Grill, designed in the style of a 1930s diner with leather chairs and photographs of movie stars from that era, passengers can indulge in classic onion soup, steaks, grilled ribs, roasted lobster, as well as excellent salads and desserts.

One of the favorite relaxation spots for guests of Regatta is undoubtedly the Horizons Lounge. This quiet and cozy lounge offers a wonderful view: a cup of coffee, a good book, and a sunset over the ocean will be the perfect end to a cruise day. The lounge features a dance floor and hosts concerts. Horizons Lounge is the place where traditional afternoon tea is served with aromatic pastries and crispy cookies.

The ship features the high-end Canyon Ranch SpaClub. This is one of the most renowned spa companies in the West, offering a unique range of body and facial treatments: massages, acupuncture, Ayurvedic treatments, wraps, masks, aromatherapy, and much more. There are also steam saunas and a thalassotherapy room.

The lack of large Broadway-style theatrical productions is compensated by the presence of numerous lectures, workshops, and educational activities: computer classes, Photoshop lessons, Spanish lessons, embroidery training, bridge, stories about the regions along the cruise route, and of course, wine tastings.

On the Regatta, travelers will not find noisy nightclubs, huge water slides, and other features that are common on larger liners. Regatta is, first and foremost, about comfort, fascinating itineraries, excellent service, and delicious food.
