Description - Costa Mediterranea
A fun, colorful and bright liner, Costa Mediterranea will impress you the moment you step into its atrium with glass elevators and sculptures of dancing women. And above you there’s a glass ceiling and a deep sky. Costa Mediterranea is the embodiment of Italian elegance, perfected down to the last centimeter.
Here you’ll find many works of art inspired by the style of noble Italian castles from the 16th and 17th centuries. A special impression will be left on you by the “Argentieri” restaurant with its balcony and 139 silver works of art. You can pamper your body and soul with the “Wellness Package” health services package, which includes accommodation in health cabins and suites, a special menu and exclusive health-strengthening procedures. Sports enthusiasts will be delighted by a first-class large gym on three decks with a sea view, as well as a multi-purpose sports area on the upper deck. The diner has 1057 cabins, including 40 cabins inside the Wellness Complex, 620 cabins with a private balcony, 56 suites with a private balcony and 4 suites inside the Wellness Complex.
Costa Mediterranea is no longer part of the Costa Cruises fleet. The ship was transferred to a Chinese cruise project and continues to operate for Adora Cruises under the name Adora Mediterranea.
Costa Mediterranea was built in 2003 and for many years operated as part of Costa Cruises.
Regular operation of the Costa Cruises ship ended in 2020.
During the pandemic, the liner was transferred to a Chinese cruise project created with the participation of Carnival Corporation and China State Shipbuilding Corporation.
After several years in layup, the ship underwent modernization. On 30 September 2023, the former Costa Mediterranea returned to passenger service for Adora Cruises.
The liner operates under the name Adora Mediterranea and offers cruises in the Asian market, including to ports in Japan and South Korea.

Daily port and onboard activities program, which is held on the liner, is published in a special informational mini-brochure that is delivered to the cabin in the evening prior to the next day. The entertainment programs on the liner are varied and periodically change depending on the liner’s itinerary and seasonality: karaoke, dance classes with trainers, special lectures on various educational topics, jewelry and goods sales, and much more.
Dining - Costa Mediterranea
The cruise price includes meals on board with a staggered dinner system, i.e. dinners take place in 2 seatings - at 19:00 and 21:15 respectively. There are 4 restaurants on board in total:
2 main restaurants (included in the price): Argentieri Restaurant, where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. And also the buffet-style Perla del Lago Buffet Restaurant, operating on the “buffet” system.
Alternative restaurants (requiring additional table reservations - 25 euros per person): Club Medusa, Wellness Restaurant.
There are 12 bars on board, including Cognac & Cigar Bar and Wine Bar.
Attention! The evening buffet runs until 17:30. The sandwiches section runs from 17:00 to 18:00. Pizza at the buffet (for an additional fee of 4 euros) is available from 18:30 to 23:00. During the time when the buffet is closed, the coolers and coffee machines in the buffet also do not operate.

Kids Clubs - Costa Mediterranea
On Costa Cruises liners, professional animators run onboard activities and organize the work of 4 different clubs for children of various ages. Child participation in the CHILDREN’S CLUBS IS FREE OF CHARGE! Children must be registered in the club on the first day of the cruise.
Mini Club (from 3 to 6 years old) and Maxi Club (from 7 to 11 years old) have their own playgrounds and their own pools on some ships. The clubs operate in the morning, after lunch and in the evenings. On request, the service “Parents on Excursions, Children in the Club” is available.
Teen Programs (from 12 to 14 years old) and the Youth Club (from 15 to 17 years old) help young people make new friends during their holidays.
The clubs operate according to the schedule from 9:00 to 12:00, from 15:00 to 18:00, and from 21:00 to 23:30.
For babies (from 6 months to 2 years old), visiting the kids’ room is allowed with mandatory adult supervision. Multi-deck liners are ideal for parents with babies and toddlers in strollers, who can go on a cruise starting from 6 months. The ships are equipped with spacious elevators and cabins, wide outdoor decks, open walking paths and corridors. On request, the following are available:
