Celebrity Edge is a completely new class of ship designed to shatter expectations of what is possible with modern luxury cruises. Edge is the first of four ships in this new class. The second, Celebrity Beyond, is scheduled to launch in spring 2020. The creation of this ship was a collaborative effort by Celebrity Cruise's team of top designers, whose goal was to create a ship that would raise the bar for travel and elevate it to a new level. Architectural norms were rewritten to create a perfect futuristic aesthetic that breaks the mold in cruise ship design and prompts the industry to rethink the concept of cruise vacations.

Celebrity Edge is a transformer ship. The main focus of the designers was on guest accommodation. Where you will live and sleep during your journey is very important. Kelly Hopen, the designer who worked on the new cabins, made their design as comfortable and modern as possible, as the cabin is your home during your vacation. Thus, on the Celebrity Edge, a new category of cabins with balconies - "infinite balconies" - was introduced. Just one movement will change the appearance of the cabin beyond recognition. Press a button, and the balcony doors open completely, making the balcony feel like one with the interior space, increasing the cabin area by 23%. There are a total of 918 cabins with "infinite balconies" on the Celebrity Edge.

Another pleasant surprise awaits suite lovers. The new ship will feature two new categories - Iconic Suite and Edge Villa.

Iconic Suite - approximately 464 sq.m. - will be located directly above the captain's bridge, and the view from this cabin will be nothing short of divine.

Edge Villa - these are two-story villa suites with a private terrace and jacuzzi. An additional bonus for guests staying in these cabins is direct access to the private Retreat area, which is specially created for suite guests and is closed to other passengers.

Additionally, the Celebrity Edge will feature 16 single cabins.

On the upper deck of the ship, a real garden, the Rooftop Garden, will bloom with live plants, sculptures, and its own restaurant. During the day, guests can practice yoga right in the middle of the garden, and in the evening enjoy performances by street musicians under the stars.

And the main innovation of the Celebrity Edge is the moving platform Magic Carpet, which is the size of a tennis court. This platform will transform depending on the time of day; during docked times, it will lower to the 2nd deck, creating a special comfortable area for boarding and disembarking, during the day it will be on the 5th deck and serve as part of the alternative restaurant Al Fresco, and at night it will turn into a lounge area.
